Affordable and Effective Skincare Favorites

These are a few of the best products to maintain the health of your skin!

If you are on a tight budget all of these products will help you combat breakouts and aging. One of my favorite products for detoxifying the skin is the Aztec Healing Clay; mix it using a wooden or plastic spoon with a little bit of the apple cider vinegar. Then apply it to your face for approximately 15 minutes.

Your skin will thank you!

ps: don't worry if you break out from it after the first couple masks, this is just your skin detoxifying itself. Yay!

I also love anything with zinc oxide. The zinc oxide powder can be used for sunscreen or as an additional detoxifying and healing mask. The Baby Bee diaper cream is also good when used as a healing and anti-breakout mask. Zinc is known for its healing powers and is very important in protein synthesis.

Dry brushing is also a huge part of my beauty routine. I learned about dry brushing on a cruise I took with my family years ago and have been dry brushing ever since! Usually, I mix up my mask and apply it first, then I dry brush my body while the tub is filling up with water, maybe some of the wonderful beautifying oil from Aveda, and, of course, epsom salt!

Dry brushing your body before a bath helps break up and free the toxins that are trapped in your fat cells, muscle cells, lymph tissue, and blood. The dry brush also helps to take off dead skin cells. Dry brushing is great for improving circulation and reducing the appearance of cellulite. It also allows you time to check in with your body. Whenever I dry brush my body, I check for any changes. Dry brushing every inch of my body allows me to notice any weight gain, bruises, swelling, discoloration, etc.

It is great to dry brush while wearing a face mask because multitasking is basically the only way in this day and age. If you really want to bump up your bath time productivity, I also would recommend listening to an audiobook or a podcast during this nightly or weekly ritual.

After any of these masks, it is important to nourish your skin. Beauty oils are some of the most nourishing skin products out there. Some of my favorite beauty oils come from Palmer's and Aveda. Both the Aveda and the Palmer's oil can be used on any area on your body that is dry, even the hair!

Using an eye cream is also super necessary! Origins makes a great one that helps brighten up the under eye area for a more refreshed look! Yay again for ginseng!

I hope that you get the chance to try some of these great products and that they make you glow!
